Common questions
Is Grove a replacement for my scheduling and billing tools?
No. Grove sits alongside the other tools you use to manage your practice. We provide the ability to import your existing clients from your current system. Grove is built to support the relationship work with your clients, not the business administration of your practice. Keeping these separate lets you use the right tool for each side of your business.
Do my clients need to install an app?
We are currently rolling out a beta iOS app that your clients can use, or they can log in to the client app at app.grove.coach. Email hello@grove.coach to add yourself and your clients to the beta, or to be notified when the iOS app fully launches.
How long does a client check-in take?
The client check-in takes under 30 seconds and only asks about the touchpoints that matter most for self-review and coach disclosure. We use Grove ourselves every day and find it easy to check in first thing in the morning with coffee, or right before putting our phones away for the night. The goal is to remove every obstacle to your clients staying engaged with the process. If something gets in the way, tell us so we can fix it.
Can I customize what I ask clients each day?
Yes. Each client can have a weekly focus that shows at the top of their daily check-in. We encourage you to choose this focus together in session, then lock it in for the week, so the daily check-in is a reminder of what you talked about and why it matters. Grove ships with a set of starter topics, and you can build your own topics tailored to your practice and your clients. There is also a standard weekly reflection template that you can use as-is or edit to match your practice, so each client does a longer self-reflection before meeting with you.
What if a client misses a check-in?
Our belief at Grove is that nagging and shame-based approaches do not work. We make it easy for a client to step back into the process wherever they are, with no streak punishing them for a hard week. We also know that clients love to see their consistency rewarded, so streaks can be recovered if the client fills in a previous day. And we track habit completion rate across check-ins so both you and the client can see when they need more support and when their effort is ready for a celebration and the next step up.
