HealthKit step tracking

With one permission grant, daily step counts from Apple Health flow into Grove as recurring measurements. Coaches see real activity trends without the client typing a number, and steps bridge into goal progress the same way any other measurement does.

HealthKit Steps

Client check-in screen with two coach-requested measurements pending and a Steps card showing 457 steps auto-pulled from HealthKit

A client grants HealthKit permission once when they first set up the app. From then on, today’s step count is already filled in when they open a check-in, and step history keeps flowing in even when they aren’t actively in Grove. Steps show up everywhere any other measurement would: on the dashboard, in trend charts, and as progress toward step-linked goals. Coaches don’t have to set anything up on their side, and clients don’t have to remember to log a number.
