Client FAQ

What is Grove?

Grove is the app your coach uses to stay in touch with you between sessions. It’s a quiet, daily place to log how you’re doing, track habits, and message your coach about what’s coming up for you. See the client guide to getting started for a walkthrough.

My coach invited me — what now?

Open the invite email and tap “Open Grove” — you’ll set a password and land in the app. Your first task is a short intake check-in your coach prepared. Step by step: get started with Grove as a client.

What can I do in Grove?

Daily check-ins, habit tracking, message your coach, see your progress over time, and prep for your next session. See the client guide to getting started for where each of these lives.

Who can see what I write?

Only you and your coach. Grove does not share your data with anyone else, including other coaches in the platform. Full details: Privacy Policy. See also the client guide to getting started.

How do I get help?

Message your coach inside Grove — they’ll see it the next time they check in. For platform questions, email hello@grove.coach. See the client guide to getting started for where messaging lives.

Can I install Grove on my Android phone?

Yes. Open app.grove.coach in Chrome, tap the menu (the three dots in the top right), and tap Install app. Grove is added to your home screen and opens full screen from then on, just like a downloaded app. Step by step: install Grove on Android.

Will I get push notifications if I install Grove on Android?

Not yet. Installing Grove on Android puts it on your home screen and opens it full screen, but check-in reminders and coach messages still arrive by email, not as phone notifications. See install Grove on Android for what does and doesn’t change.

Does installing Grove on Android connect to my phone’s health data?

No. Installing Grove on Android doesn’t read or sync anything from your phone, including step counts or other health data. That’s a feature of the separate iPhone app only. See install Grove on Android for the full list of differences.

Why don’t I see Install app in Chrome?

Two common reasons. You may not be in Chrome itself: a link opened from inside a messaging app runs in that app’s own browser, which has a different menu. Or the page may not have finished loading, since Chrome only offers the option once it has. If the menu offers to open Grove rather than install it, Grove is already installed from an earlier visit, so look for its icon on your home screen or in your app list. Step by step: install Grove on Android.

Why does Grove open in a browser tab instead of full screen?

You most likely tapped a Grove link or a saved bookmark rather than the home screen icon Chrome created when you installed it. Both open the same account, but only the icon opens full screen. Find the Grove icon among your other apps and use that instead. See install Grove on Android.

How do I remove Grove from my Android home screen?

Press and hold the Grove icon and choose the uninstall or remove option your phone offers. Your account, your check-ins, and your history aren’t affected, because they live in Grove rather than on your phone, and you can sign back in from a browser or install it again at any time. See install Grove on Android.
